A Luxury British Women’s Brand

In the beginning, Caroline and Butts designed overalls to be worn for decorating, gardening and other chores. Then came the detachable belt in various colours, quickly followed by the Spanish Riding Boot after spotting them on a trip to Portugal – moloh being the first British company to import them. A suede skirt and jacket were added to the now ever growing collection with the help of a couture trained pattern cutter.

These were launched at the Game Fair in 2006 and virtually sold out! Various other designs quickly followed but in particular a military jacket, this was the first building block of moloh’s strong military identity.

Tailcoats and frock jackets followed teamed with a shift dress or layered over a tailored waistcoat, silk frill shirt and wrap skirt – this strong sporty and feminine look was slowly gathering pace.

Having grown out of our office, the perfect shop was found in Tetbury Gloucestershire. Trips are arranged to British mills, delving into their archives for Inspiration to create a garment that could become an heirloom. Many years and many collections later moloh’s loyal customer base has grown both in the UK and abroad especially in the US.

Caroline and Butts strive to produce beautifully crafted stylish clothes, that the owner reaches for time and time again.
